One of the areas in which Social Media is not being adopted quickly are positions in which there are time constraints, such as project management, sales and similar positions. I believe this primarily due to lack of time on the part of the people in these industries. One of the biggest issues with social media is that it can take a decent amount of time dedicated to engagement in order to be effective with the social media strategy.
Since social media is quickly becoming an avenue that is no longer an option but almost mandatory to integrate into any marketing strategy. There needs to be steps taken to make the integration easier to manage for those that are super busy. Time can be the enemy of most professionals these days, some more than others.
A few very essential channels for social media are Facebook, Twitter and whatever platform is used for a corporate blog. These channels can be very time consuming without utilizing time saving methods.
Ways to save time:
- Blogging: Most blogging platforms have a way to schedule blogs after writing posts. This option can be used after created a few blog posts allowing you to trickle the blogs out every day or every other day depending on how many you write.
- Guest Bloggers: If you need additional content for your blog you could utilize guest bloggers.
- Content Curation: Creation of original content can be a time consuming thing. So curation is a great option for creating quality content for followers. Scoopit is GREAT!
- Scheduling post: There are a few different platforms used for scheduling posts to Facebook or Twitter. Buffer is a great way to get this done.
Good Luck!
