Adding #Pinterest To Your Sales & Marketing Strategy
We are all bordering on being overwhelmed by so many social media channels that continue to pop up. It can be a lot to keep up with all of them and even tougher to chose which channels are ideal for our brand. We all know that Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and a WordPress blog is a MUST. At one time I would have added Flickr to the list for its visual appeal to the masses, however now I am going to have to go with Pinterestinstead.
The reason that I am opting to go with Pinterest, besides it just amazingly cool appeal is that it drives traffic. YES IT DOES DRIVE TRAFFIC. Additionally, if you are in any sales, marketing or product related industry I would venture to say that it is a perfect social media channel for your brand whatever it may be.
In sales and Marketing Industries especially those that are product driven can be tough for traditional social media as social media is not suppose to be about selling. For the record I think that is a bunch of crap because EVERYTHING IS ABOUT SELLING. However that is another few blog posts and I will not get into that now.
At one time I used Flickr as my avenue to store images, as a way to drive some traffic and an added bonus of Google Juice. That was until I discovered Pinterest which has become one of my better sources of Google Juice and a huge driver of traffic to my blogs. I almost immediately noticed traffic in my analytics reports from Pinterest and the traffic was right up there with Facebook, Twitter and Stumbleupon. This is HUGE therefore I recommend that any businesses that have product lines or sell items that can be displayed in a visual manner, immeditely create a profile on Pinterest.
Take a look at the video below to give you an idea how to use Pinterest for your sales & marketing strategy. Nothing else, just do it.
